Friends of Williamsburg Rowing
Welcome to the home of Friends of Williamsburg Rowing (FWR). FWR is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization that was formed as a booster organization for the William and Mary Rowing Club (WMRC). Since its inception in 1993, the mission of the FWR has grown to include furthering the sport of rowing in the Williamsburg/James City County area by supporting both WMRC and the Williamsburg Boat Club (WBC), which was formed in 2003. FWR is also in charge of fundraising for the boathouse in Williamsburg. Explore our website and learn more about FWR!
Recent News: WBC and W&M Barbeque
WBC hosted a barbeque for the W&M team at the Virginia invitational on March 20, 2010. Thanks to WBC for spearheading this post-race event and for being so prepared that there was even enough food to share with Liberty University! FWR is happy to have supported this event by reimbursing WBC for half the cost of the event. For more info check out WBC's news posting at the WBC website.
